A backsaw (Dovetail saw) owned by Benjamin F. Willard.
Metal body with golden color top rail and carved handle. The saw is approximately 13,5” in length and 4” in width with the blade size 9” x 2.5” and counts 24 teeth per inch. The handle has two round copper rivets fastening it securely to the blade.

Multiple marks on the blade, top rail and handle, including: T. BARN(a) Best CAST STEEL on the top rail, B. F. Willard embossed on the wooden handle; other side: Benjamin F. Willard 1820; B. F. Willard embossed on handle and B W on the blade in the middle.
