Miniature portrait of Simon Willard Jr. was probably painted by George Harvey around 1828-29 together with a portrait of his sister Mary Willard.
The miniature is about 3” H by 2 1/2” W and presented in a silk-lined oval case in brown leather with metal lock and hinge. Silk under the miniature is rose/burgundy color, faded to golden on the top side.
The portrait contains a braided lock of hair.
