I am heartbroken to report that our dear friend, colleague and dedicated conservator at Willard, David G. Gow passed away very early in the morning Saturday, July 3rd from the recently diagnosed rare disease. While a complete obituary is being written by the family, for the moment it is prudent to release this information regarding his remembrance.

Speaking for those of us who had the pleasure of knowing and working with David for many years (over 40 yrs. for me!), we have lost a good friend and a good man who lived his life of faith by his actions. His passion for his meticulous work was only overwhelmed by his everyday kindness and generosity to others, his love of his family, and living by the ‘Golden Rule’. Our world needs more like David Gow, but knowing only one, made me realize how remarkable he was.

Rest in Peace David. We will all miss you.
