12” iron painted dial, secondary plate marked "Wilson, English import". Separate moon phase and calendar disc (repainted). Roman hour numerals, Arabic minute numerals and seconds bit. Name "Simon Willard" in script over figure six. Painted floral corner decorations outlined with gold relief. Pierced steel hands.
Solid mahogany Roxbury style case with pierced fretwork, brass ball and spire finials. Free standing fluted columns with brass stops and capitals, quarter columns at the rear. Arch top waist door with applied molding, brass stop fluted quarter columns with brass capitals. Double step molding on base with ogee bracket feet (replaced).
Eight day movement with brass plates and wheels, steel pinions, and a recoil escapement. Seconds pendulum with an iron rod with brass faced lead bob. Grooved winding drums and a rack and snail striking mechanism. Bog iron weights.
